Five Libyan soldiers were killed and 18 others were lost due to an attack launched by Daesh terrorist group on a security gate between Ajdabiya and Tobruk.

Daesh attacked gate 200 resulting in the death of five soldiers, while another five were saved, said a security source on Saturday.

The destiny of around 18 soldiers is still unknown, the source added, noting that they might have fled to the desert or kidnapped by the extremist organization.

Security measures are beefed up in Ajdabiya city, he added.
