Two soldiers of the Libyan Special Forces were killed when a landmine planted inside a house exploded while a third was killed by a sniper in Benghazi, the special forces spokesman said on Monday.

The Libyan army forces - backed by the special forces and air forces - are engaged in fierce clashes in various parts of the country, Meloud al Zewi said.

Earlier in the day, the spokesman announced that seven Libyan soldiers were killed and ten more were injured in clashes with troops of the Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries during January.
