Two soldiers of the Libyan army were wounded in clashes with Benghazi Shura Council of revolutionary forces in Benghazi, a media official at Al Galaa Hospital said Monday.

The soldiers sustained medium injuries and they are now under medical observation, she added.

Benghazi is the still the scene of fierce fighting between Libyan forces and militants, including those of Benghazi Revolutionary Council or Ansar Al Sharia.

Around 2, 000 people died in Benghazi between the beginning of 2014 and last month, the highest for any Libyan city in that period as a result of fighting between government forces and militants.
