Incidents of violence in the cities of Karachi and Hyderabad led to the death of seven people in the last 24 hours, said police. According to police, gunmen struck at two separate places in Hyderabad city killing four policemen and injuring two others. The four deceased policemen of Latifabad area's police-station were on duty when the militants targeted them. A senior police official of Hyderabad city, Irfan Ali Bahadur said that "Yes, it was clearly a targeted killing of police. The bodies of the deceased policemen were shifted to Latifabad's Bhittai hospital while the injured were taken to Liaquat University Hospital for immediate treatment." Meanwhile, at least 44 suspects were arrested during a targeted operation in Karachi whereas three people were killed in different incidents of violence in the city
