Pakistani dies from injuries after film protest

A driver working for a private TV channel in Pakistan died Friday after being shot and critically wounded when protesters set alight and ransacked a cinema in the northwestern city of Peshawar, a hospital doctor said. "He was brought in, in a critical condition. He was shot in the chest. He was put on a ventilator after surgery but could not survive," said Doctor Mukhtar Khan, head of the Lady Reading Hospital.
