At least 12 militants were killed during precise air strikes by gunship helicopters of Pakistan military on Wednesday in Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan, said military.
According to a military statement, four terrorist hideouts were destroyed through aerial strikes by gunship helicopters. The air strikes are a continuation of the comprehensive military operation against foreign and local militants launched in June 2014.
North Waziristan is one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal regions governed by tribal laws and facing militants' insurgency for last many years.
