Security forces have killed at least 20 militants and wounded dozens of others after coming under attack in the country''s northwest, according to reports from Pakistan. The fighting in the remote mountainous Kurram tribal region took place last night, and that 22 troops were wounded in the attack, according to the reports cited by Voice of America (VOA).
The death toll could not be independently confirmed because the fighting occurred in an area that is off-limits to journalists.
