Taylor Swift explains backward hike

Taylor Swift recently hiked backward to avoid the paparazzi.

The 25-year-old singer explained the incident on her blog after photos of Swift walking backward down a trail surfaced and caused fans to jokingly question if she was drunk.

"I saw the guy with the camera and wasn't in the mood so I hiked the whole trail backwards and my security told me when to make turns," she revealed. "Ah, the tranquility of the great outdoo- TAYLORCANYOULOOKOVERHEREGIVEUSASMILEAREYOUDAT."

Swift released her fifth studio album, 1989, in October 2014, and kicked off her accompanying tour of the same name May 5 in Tokyo. She will perform several dates in the U.S. before moving to Europe, and complete the tour Dec. 12 in Melbourne.

The singer debuted her star-studded music video for "Bad Blood" at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in May, and was spotted at lunch with new boyfriend Calvin Harris and best friend Ed Sheeran in New York last week.
