Scott Baio's wife diagnosed with brain tumor

Renee Sloan, wife of actor Scott Baio, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor, the Charles in Charge actor announced Thursday on his Facebook page .

Baio said the couple learned his wife has a meningioma brain tumor within the past week.

"Although 90 percent of these type of tumors are benign they can cause serious problems depending on the size of the tumor and the location," he wrote. "We are waiting to learn the exact location to see if its operable."

Baio said Sloan has turned to her faith to remain strong during the difficulty.

"My wife is my rock. She refuses to even shed one tear, nor will she question God's will," Baio wrote.

Sloan is an actress, model and stunt double. She shares a daughter, Bailey, with Baio and has an older daughter, Kalyn, from a previous relationship.
