Noah Wyle, wife Sara Wells welcome baby girl

Noah Wyle and wife Sara Wells welcomed their first child this week.

The 44-year-old actor and 35-year-old actress are proud parents to daughter Frances Harper Wyle. Wells gave birth to the infant Monday, and Wyle's rep said the actor is "over the moon" with joy.

Wyle and Wells married on their farm in Santa Barbara, Calif., in June 2014. The couple announced they were expecting at the Vanity Fair Academy Awards after-party in March.

The actor is already father to two children, 12-year-old son Owen and 9-year-old daughter Auden, with ex-wife Tracy Warbin. He and the makeup artist wed in 1998, and divorced in 2010.

Wyle is best known for portraying Dr. John Carter on NBC medical drama ER, and currently stars as Tom Mason on TNT sci-fi series Falling Skies and Flynn Carsen on The Librarians. Wells has appeared on HBO comedy-drama Californication and FX series Nip/Tuck.
