Cairo - Mohamed Alloush
Egyptian musician Mohamed Ramadan has condemned the statements published on Arab website Al Youm Al Sabah. The news site published that the star had been arrested on charges of theft in Alexandria, Egypt and was currently in prison. Ramadan has asserted that the reports are completely fabricated. The star intends to sue the website for defamation of character. Muhammad Ramadan was arrested in a police ambush at El Marg, Egypt, and charged with carrying a weapon. The singer was released following the posting of his bail on Monday morning. Ramadan claims that the journalist had blown the incident out of proportion and added elaborate details which did not occur. Al Youm Al Sabah has allegedly refused to acknowledge any wrong-doing on their part.
