Cairo - Khaled Ali

Egyptian scriptwriter Faisal Nada has denied rumours that he chose actress Nadia al-Gendy to play the role of the wife of ousted Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, Leila Trabelsi. The role will take centre-staged in the upcoming series, Beauty And The Adventurer. Nada revealed he was putting the final touches to the script. In an exclusive interview with Arabstoday, Nada said: "All the rumours about Nadia al-Gendy, whom I have an immense amount of respect for, are untrue." "The series will follow the life of Leila Trabelsi from when she was 18. It would be impossible for Nadia to act this age,” he added.
