Amanda Bynes out of rehab; looking at colleges

Actress Amanda Bynes has completed inpatient treatment for mental illness and is staying at her parents' Los Angeles home, a family representative said. "Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who's contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda's recovery," Tamar Arminak, a lawyer for Bynes' mother Lynn, told People.com Wednesday. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she's feeling better every day," the statement said. "She's now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design. She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line. Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She's very happy to re-establish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared." Bynes, 27, has been arrested multiple times since April 2012 and has been accused of driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and tossing a marijuana pipe out of a Manhattan high-rise apartment building. She was hospitalized for several weeks during the summer because of her erratic behavior and immediately after leaving the hospital underwent treatment at a rehab facility, which she left this week. Bynes' mother has been granted indefinite legal control over her daughter's well-being and finances while she recovers. Bynes is the former star of the sketch comedy series "The Amanda Show." Her film credits include "What a Girl Wants," "She's the Man" and "Hairspray."
