Workers at Libyan civilian airports suspended strike after reaching a compromise with officials on receiving their delayed salaries.

The general union of the Libyan air transport said in a statement on Tuesday work resumed at all airports which witnessed strike.

last week, Libya's main airports cancelled flights because of strikes by ground staff complaining they have not been paid for two months, airport officials said.

The walkouts highlight a public finance crisis in the oil-producing North African country where two rival governments are competing for power
