Abu-Dhabi - Itar-Tass

Saudi millionaire, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, considers Moscow as one of possible sites for the construction of the world tallest skyscraper, Saudi Arabian media outlets said on Tuesday. A possibility of building a tower 1.6 kilometers high has been discussed at present. Prince Al- Waleed has invited the biggest world capitals and mega cities to take part in the construction of the highest skyscraper. The Saudi millionaire mentioned London, Shanghai and New York among the cities which might compete with Moscow as possible sites harboring the tower. "The interested sides should give us tax privileges and state support," the millionaire said. Local experts said that construction workers who would build the highest building in the world will confront problems difficult to resolve, such as water deliveries to top floors of the skyscraper, which is very difficult both technically and financially. The cost of the skyscraper construction amounts to a breathtaking sum worth billions of dollars. The authors of the project said the would-be tower is to surpass the present skyscraper champion - the Burj Khalifa in Dubai which is 828 meters high, and would challenge the Kingdom Center in Saudi Arabia which construction is be complete in 2017.
