Yemen, WB discuss funding strategic projects

Minister of Public Works and Roads Omar al-Kurshm discussed on Thursday with Regional Director of the Sustainable Development at the World Bank, Junaid Jamal Ahmed, that strategic project to protect the city of Ibb from floods. They also discussed the Bank’s contribution to funding a part of the strategic road project (Aden – Taiz) , which is funded by the Saudi Fund for Development. The meeting also touched on the role of the Roads Maintenance Fund in maintaining the roads, especially the rural roads. In the meeting, the WB’s official praised the experience of the Public Works Ministry in the construction of the rural and community roads, noting the Bank’s support for funding these projects.
