WTO: Turkey is influential in changing dynamics of trade

Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Pascal Lamy delivered a speech at Istanbul's Bilgi University. Speaking at a conference on global trade, Lamy underlined thatTurkey and other developing countries were today more influential in international platforms compared to the past. "Such countries no longer only implement programs. They shape the programs and act as creators," Lamy stressed. Countries such as Turkey were influential in changing the dynamics of trade, Lamy also said.
