The number of persons employed in the Turkish construction sector increased by 3.9% in the second quarter of 2012 over to the same period of last year as Anatolia news agency reports. Turkish statistics authority, TurkStat, released Friday the construction sector labor force figures for the second quarter of 2012. Accordingly, the number of people employed index in the building construction sector increased to 84.8% from 80.8% in the mentioned period. The quarterly hours worked index in the construction sector increased by 2.5% in the second quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter of the last year. Hours worked index in the building construction sector reached to 80.9%, up by 3.5%.
