Manila - XINHUA
The Philippines is the world's third most optimistic nation, along with Indonesia, according to a survey released by research institute Nielsen Philippines. The "Nielsen Global Survey of Consumer Confidence and Spending Intentions" ranked Saudia Arabia as the most optimistic nation, followed by India. "Filipinos are still optimistic because global economic conditions are relatively stable, although underlying conditions remain fragile and fluid in many parts of the world," said Stuart Jamieson, Managing Director of Nielsen Philippines. The same survey also revealed that Filipino online consumers are optimistic about local job prospects and cited savings as their top priority. "(The) business process outsourcing sector is growing, opening job opportunities for many Filipinos, boosting their confidence towards job prospects and financial conditions," said Jamieson
