President Park Geun-hye plans to preside over a meeting this week involving dozens of businesspeople to discuss ways to eliminate unnecessary regulations on business activity, her office said Wednesday. The ministerial-level meeting between the government and civilian sectors on Thursday is set to be her latest drive to push for sweeping deregulation that she sees as key to boosting the economy.
