North Korea's recent provocation off the west coast had a "limited" impact on financial markets at home and abroad, a senior policymaker here said Tuesday, assuring investors that the markets remain stable despite rising inter-Korean tension. On Monday, North Korea shot about 500 rounds of artillery shells into the Yellow Sea, 100 or more of them falling in South Korean waters. The South returned fire back into North Korean waters. Pyongyang on Sunday also threatened a "new form" of nuclear test
