His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has issued an Emiri decree on the reshuffling of the board of directors of Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority under the chairmanship of Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, chairman of the RAK Customs and Ports Department. The resolution named Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi as the chairman of the board, and Shaikh Yasir bin Ahmed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Shaikh Mohammed bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi and Salem Ali Abdullah Al Sharhan as members of the Board. The decree No. 3 of 2013 stipulates that the new board of directors will take over the free zone in Ras Al Khaimah and will exercise all powers delegated to it to achieve the objectives of authority. The decree shall come into force from the date of issuance and shall be published in the official gazette. UAE, Turkey discuss trade?relations Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and his Turkish counterpart Zafer Caglayan have discussed ways to promote economic relations between the two countries. They also followed up the progress in projects and the recommendations of the Joint economic committee meeting last year during a call on here. Al Mansouri stressed the depth of cultural bonds between the two countries, which can be beneficial in enhancing and cementing the bilateral stable economic relations. He referred to the volume of the non-oil trade exchange between the two countries, which stood at $3.6 billion in 2011, expressing his hope to increase the investments and trade exchange to take advantage of the enormous potentials in the sector. Dewa hosts Finland delegation Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, or Dewa, received a delegation from Finland, including 17 Finnish companies. The delegation was headed Matti Anttonen, Finnish Ambassador to the UAE and director-general of the Finnish Department for External Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by Waleed Salman, EVP, for Strategy and Business Development, Abdullah Al Hajri, EVP, Customer Service, Jassim Rajab, Financial Controller, and Fatima Afoora Al Shamsi, VP of Business Development. Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, and urged Finnish companies to actively participate in the upcoming Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex 2013).
