KIF forecasts Korean economy to grow 4.1%

A state-run think tank forecast Thursday that the South Korean economy will grow 4.1 percent this year, down from its earlier projection. The previous growth estimate by the Korea Institute of Finance (KIF) was 4 percent, but the figure is equivalent to 4.2 percent when a new method of calculating economic growth is applied, meaning that the KIF actually revised down its 2014 growth projection.
