Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Monday held talks with visiting Peruvian counterpart Rafael Roncagliolo to expand bilateral cooperation, according to a press release provided by the Foreign Ministry. Yang said that China greatly values its relations with Peru and is ready to work with Peru to further high-level exchanges, enhance political trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation so as to push forward the bilateral strategic partnership. Roncagliolo said that the Peruvian government attaches huge importance to promoting relations with China and is willing to strengthen bilateral cooperation in politics, the economy, trade, culture, education, agriculture, tourism as well as coordination in world affairs. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern. At the invitation of Yang, Roncagliolo is visiting China from Saturday to Wednesday.
