Low-cost carrier of the Emirate of Dubai, flyDubai, will commence business class services from October of this year, General Manager of Al Fanar Travels the General Sales Agents in Bahrain, Suhaib Kidwai, told the Bahrain News Agency (BNA). He added that the sale of seats for the October services will begin in August. The airline, he said, operates four flights a day to Bahrain. "Of these at least one will be business class," he added. Bahrain will be among the destinations served upfront he said. Asked about the number of seats in business class for Bahrain Dubai, the general manager replied, "When the services begin seat allotment is expected to be 12 and an upgrade to double that number is expected by mid 2014," said Kidwai. The airline plans its business class sector on all 737-800 aircraft it has. The business class facilities include premium seat, checked baggage, food and in-flight entertainment. At select airports, lounge access will also be provided, in addition to priority check-in and boarding. However, economy class passengers will still have to pay for any extras including baggage checked in, premium seats, food and in-flight entertainment.
