Minister State for of Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza  participated in Bahraini French Businessmen Club forum held in Regency intercontinental in the presence of the Ambassador of France, Mr. Christian Testot and Bahraini French Club members and French and Bahraini businessmen interested in developing trade and economic relations between Bahrain and France. The Minister stressed the importance of this economic forums, confirming that such meetings will benefit and interest of both Bahrain and the French sides, indicating that this meeting came to explain developments in infrastructure projects for electricity and water in the Kingdom. The Minister provided Visual presentation on the accelerated development of the Electricity and Water sector over the past decade and projects that have been completed over the past five years and for which projects to keep pace with the steady growth in Bahrain and also between the role of the French companies to participate in the development of the electricity sector expertise In the areas of transmission and distribution of electricity and water, modern technology and future opportunities for further economic and technical cooperation in support of the sector. The Minister during his commentary gave explanation of the functioning of the electricity sector and the main electricity network most projected statistics for network performance and explained that there has been noticeable in reducing rates of electric outages on the network by the network performance data during the summer three years 2010, 2011 and 2012, with total failure in summer periods by 22% crash period rate decreased from about 3 hours to about 18 minutes, reduced up to 90%. The Minister Mirza said during this meeting opportunities for French companies in Authority future projects and review the areas where coordination, where The Minister expressed readiness Authority to support this cooperation, expressing its thanks and appreciation to the Bahraini French Businessmen Club for its efforts to consolidate economic relations and cooperation in all fields to benefit of the people of the two friendly countries.
