HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada on Monday opened the exhibition associated with the World Petroleum Congress’ (WPC) which kicked off earlier today at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). Then HE the minister toured the exhibition and visited the pavilions of the participanting national , gulf an world companies there. HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada was accompanied during the tour by the UAE Minister of Energy Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamili, Kuwaiti Minister of Oil dr.Mohammad Mohsen Al Busairi , Bahraini oil and gas minister abdul hussein bin ali mizra, Omani Minister of Oil and Gas Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi , Iranian Oil Minister Rustum Qassim and a number of senior officials from Qatar Petroleum (QP). Meanwhile on the sidelines of the opening of the associated exhibition, Qatar Petroluem (QP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with British Centrica company as part of completing aspects of cooperation between the two sides. HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Qatar s Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Qatar Petroleum International (QPI), signed on Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) detailing cooperation in energy-related investments between QPI and Centrica plc, as represented by its CEO Sam Laidlaw. The WPC’s associated exhibition covers an area of 35,000 square meters , a 20 % bigger thatn the area dedicated to the previous WPC held in Madrid in 2008, the matter which makes the biggest exibition in the history of WPC. The most prestigious National, and World oil and gas companies along with key suppliers, the service companies and the manufacturers,are participating in the event with a view to get acquaitned with the latest technological innovations in all the countries concerned.
