Seoul stocks edge down in late morning trading

South Korean stocks gave up early morning gains Wednesday as both foreign and private investors turned sellers. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) began the day on the positive side but pared the gains, standing at 1,938.34 as of 11:20 a.m., down a marginal 1.87 points or 0.10 percent from the close of trading on Tuesday.
