Qatar Stock Exchange index dropped 65.40 points (-0.52%) Thursday when it closed at 12,496.46 points from Wednesday's position of 12,561.86 points.
The traded value today decreased to QR 464.287 Million with a volume of 10,095,842 shares from 5,131 transactions compared with QR 509.607 Million with a volume of 12,660,696 shares from 5,405 transactions on Wednesday.
Insurance sector index gained +0.70% (4,086.58 points), consumer goods and services was up +0.34% (7,542.41 points) and telecoms up +0.19% (1,408.17 points).
Banks and financial services' index dropped slightly by -0.15% (3,282.55 points), industries down -0.11% (4,033.06 points), transport -0.88% (2,443.94 points) and real estate dropped -0.71% (4,086.58 points).
Shares of 24 companies closed lower today, 14 gained while two remained unchanged.
