Qatar stock exchange up 0.94%

The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 86.57 points (or 0.94%) to advance to 9,264.55 points from 9,177.98 last day. The volume of the shares traded up to 7,000,746 from 6,245,165 last day, and the value of shares increased to QR312,550,339.90 from QR301,887,276.58. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 2.97% to QR156.00, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 1.17% to QR69.00, International Islamic Bank gained 1.13% to QR53.80 and Electricity and Water up by 1.16% to QR156.50. The Banking and Financial sector index was up 1.82 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose 0.42 points. The industrial sector was added 0.02 points while insurance sector down 0.43 points.
