The Qatar Exchange was slightly up on Wednesday adding 6.21 points or 0.07% to 8,388.50 points from the previous closing of 8,382.29. The volume of shares traded up to 3,878,471 from 3,491,768 on Tuesday and the value of shares was increased to QR168,736,039.91 from QR123,566,736.91 Tuesday. Top gainers were intl. Islamic Bank which was up 0.71% to QR49.35,Qatar Insurance rose 0.99% to QR81.60, Doha Bank gained 1.76% to QR52.00 and Qatar Navigation up by 0.63% to QR79.60. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 8.05 while the Insurance sector up 69.15 points. The Qatar industrial sector rose 6.47 points and the Services sector added 0.89 points.
