Nikkei ends 0.35% lower amid Ukraine crisis

Tokyo stocks ended 0.35 percent lower on Monday afternoon, with the Nikkei index down for the fourth straight trading day amid rising concerns over Ukraine crisis. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 49.99 points, or 0. 35 percent, from Friday at 14,277.67, its lowest finish since Feb. 6. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange declined 9.77 points, or 0.84 percent, to 1, 154.93. Decliners were led by shares in the real estate, construction and glass sectors. The turnover was 1868.0 billion yen (about 18.41 billion U.S. dollars).
