The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) primarily closed higher on Wednesday.

The euro to U.S. dollar exchange rate rose 1.33 percent to 1.12 later in Wednesday's session, lifting most base metals prices.

The three-month unofficial copper price increased 44 U.S. dollars, or 0.85 percent, to 5,191 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 11 U.S. dollars, or 0.69 percent, to 1,595 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price increased 9 U.S. dollars, or 0.52 percent, to 1,729 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 15.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.85 percent, to 1,835.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 25 U.S. dollars, or 0.23 percent, to 10,712.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 100 U.S. dollars, or 0.66 percent, to 15,150 U.S. dollars a tonne.
