The benchmark for the Jordanian bourse shed 40.9 points through last week's trading and lost 25.4 percent in daily trading, according to released data of the local stock market on Friday. The benchmark dropped upon closing of the week session to 2205.3 points, compared to 2246.2 points the previous week, with a decrease of 1.82 percent. Daily stock volume amounted to USD 14.8 million, compared to USD 19.9 million of the previous week, shedding 25.4 percent. The weekly overall stock volume reached USD 74.2 million, in comparison to USD 99.7 million the week before. The financial sector came first with 65.5 percent of the overall traded shares, the Industrial sector came in second with 18.2 percent, while the service sector came in third with 16.2 percent. Stocks of 64 companies rose and those of 97 ones dropped.
