FTSE 100 falls on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 1.72 percent, or 118.39 points, to 6,773.04 points.
Kingfisher's share price increased by 4.33 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Babcock International Group, Persimmon, easyJet and Intertek Group increased by 2.23 percent, 0.97 percent, 0.80 percent and 0.73 percent, respectively.
Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.53 percent, followed by Imperial Tobacco Group (3.42 percent), British American Tobacco (2.95 percent), BG Group (2.70 percent) and Meggitt (2.58 percent).
The index has gained 4.35 percent so far this year when measured in U.S. dollar.
