The benchmark French stock market index CAC 40 gained 10.64 points, or 0.25 percent to close at 4,205.43 on Thursday.
Shares of 27 of the 40 selected companies increased while the other 13 experienced decrease.
EDF leads the gainers with 2.43 percent advance, while Alcatel-Lucent lost most and decreased 1.19 percent.
