Egypt's Stock exchange chief urges govt not to implement capital gains tax

Egypt's Stock Exchange Chairman Mohammad Omran on Monday called on the government to delay the implementation of the new law on capital gains tax.
"The current situation shows that it would be hard for the law to come into effect," Omran said in statements on the sidelines of his participation in the Egyptian Capital Market Association meeting.
"The government should positively deal with the market demands and delay the law for a year at least," he said.
