The U.S. dollar climbed above the 85- yen line in early Tokyo trading Wednesday, the highest level since April 2011. At 9 a.m., the dollar fetched 84.99-85.04 yen compared with 84. 79-80 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The New York market was closed Tuesday for the Christmas holidays. The euro was quoted at 1.3177-3181 dollars and 112.04-07 yen compared with 1.3184-3186 dollars and 111.79-83 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
