Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, rose 0.61 per cent at the close of trade on Monday. The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange rose 76.11 to 12,560.28. Among the stocks in the index, 48 rose, 34 fell and 18 were unchanged. Gains in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Oil & Gas Development, National Bank and Mcb Bank. Article continues below Engro Corp/Pakistan, which fell Rs1.32 to Rs160.40, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan. The next most-active issues were National Bank Of Pakistan, which rose Rs2.54 to Rs53.37, and Attock Refinery, which rose Rs3.46 to Rs126.97.
