Main index of Amman Stock Exchange continued dropped 13.8 points during past week's operations; the daily trade, however, increased 51.8 percent, according to weekly figures of the bourse. Benchmark for the week closing stood at 1921 points, compared with 1934.8 points of the previous week; a decline of 0.72 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector decreased 0.5 percent, the industries dropped 0.43 percent and the services lost 1.53 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 9.6 million, compared with USD 8.7 million the week before; a rise proportion of 11.1 percent. Overall volume of trade of the week stood at some USD 38.7 million, in contrast to USD 43.5 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 40.4 million, done through 15,688 deals. As to sectors' contributions in volume of trade, the financial sector came first, 51.8 percent of the overall trade, followed by services, 25.5 percent, and lastly the industries, 22.6 percent. Comparing prices of closing of the trading companies, amounting to 178, with the previous closing, stock price of 95 ones have dropped and 46 others have risen.
