SAMENA Telecommunications Council recently announced Nokia as the newest addition to its membership.
Nokia, the leading provider of end-to-end telecom infrastructure solutions, has unparalleled credentials in enabling infrastructure for next generation mobiles as well as fixed broadband networks including 5G and the Internet of Things. Nokia is focused on developing solutions that expand the human possibilities of the connected world by leveraging the emerging trends in virtual reality and digital health. In the SAMENA region, Nokia serves communications service providers, governments, large enterprises and end users, with the industry’s most complete, end-to-end portfolio of products, solutions and licensing services.
Bocar A. BA, chief executive of SAMENA Council, emphasized the significance of leading technology providers, like Nokia, in the telecommunications sector in the region.
“At SAMENA Council, we are constantly seeking to explore possibilities of collaboration with key industry stakeholders, and Nokia’s participation will further help in voicing key perspectives on industry developments and requirements. We are pleased to see Nokia among us and we congratulate Nokia for choosing to become a part of SAMENA Council,” he said.
Bernard Najm, head of the Middle East Market Unit at Nokia, said: “We are delighted to be a member of SAMENA Council that has extensive geographic reach and a strong track record of enabling multi-stakeholder dialogue and collaboration. We look forward to take part in the SAMENA Council activities and working groups, in order to address and align on key policy and regulatory matters that are shaping our industry.”
