Moscow - Itar-Tass

Representatives of the United Space and Rocket Industry (ORKK) will constitute the bulk of the future Roscosmos State Corporation which will also employ the most competent workers of the Federal Space Agency, a source from the Russian Space and Rocket industry told TASS on Friday.
"The most qualified workers now on staff of the Federal Space Agency and managers with a long experience in management and knowledge of the needs of the space industry will be employed at the future Roscosmos State Corporation", it said. The source mentioned a few concrete names, including Roscosmos deputy department chief for international relations Sergey Savelyev, head of the department for manned programs Alexey Krasnov and Stats-Secretary Denis Lyskov, who is deputy head of the Federal Space Agency.
The management of the future Roscomos State Corporation is planning to upgrade a professional level of the managing staff because the overwhelming majority of workers employed at the United Space and Rocket Corporation have less than a year's experience of work in the industry.
Earlier, new Roscosmos Chief Igor Komarov said that the overall number of workers on staff of the future Roscosmos State Corporation would be down the number of Roscosmos and ORKK employees taken together.
Former chief of the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) Oleg Ostapenko, who was invited to resume work at the Roscosmos board by Russian Vice-premier Dmitry Rogozin this week, is not planning to return to the space rocket industry yet and is going to have a rest, an unnamed source from the Roscosmos Corporation told TASS Friday.
"Oleg Nikolayevich (Ostapenko) is planning to have a rest following more than a year of intensive work in the post of the Roscosmos chief," the source said. "He is not likely to return to the space rocket industry in the near future," it said.
"Nonetheless, Ostapenko as a military man is always ready to fulfill tasks set forth by the leadership of the country," it said.
Ostapenko was appointed Chief of the Federal Space Agency in autumn 2013 and remained in this post until January 21, 2015. Igor Komarov-former head of the United Rocket and Space Corporation, replaces Ostapenko in the post of the Roscosmos chief.
