Qatar Telecom Company (Qtel) disclosed Monday the interim financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2011. The interim financial statements revealed a net profit of QR 2 Billion for the nine months period ended September 30, 2011 in comparison to a net profit of QR 2.4  Billion for the corresponding period last year.   The Company's Earnings per Share (EPS) amounted to QR 11.38 for the period ended September 30, 2011 versus QR 13.84 for the corresponding period in 2010. Qatar Telecom (Qtel), a leading fixed and mobile telecommunications operator, was incorporated in 1987 and listed on the Qatar Exchange in 1998. Qtel is a winner of the 2005 Gulf Excellence Award and the 2006 Economic Award.
