Hyundai Motor's 2014 auto sales grow 4.9%

Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's largest automaker, said Friday that its annual sales in 2014 grew nearly 5 percent from a year earlier thanks to relatively strong demand at home and abroad despite the protracted slowdown in global economic recovery.
Hyundai Motor said that it sold a total of 4.96 million vehicles last year, up 4.9 percent from a year earlier. Its December sales also advanced 19.4 percent to 406,561 units.
