Etihad Airways enhances European corporate affairs presence

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, is enhancing its capabilities in Europe with the appointment of Eszter Ungar as its Head of Corporate Affairs for the region.
Ms. Ungar joins the airline from The Boeing Company, where she held the position of Communications Director for EU/NATO, Northern Europe and Africa, based in Brussels. In addition, she has held posts at GE and Hill and Knowlton, where she managed several Fortune 500 clients.
Ms. Ungar will be based at Etihad Airways’ European headquarters in Berlin and be responsible for building and managing the airline’s brand and reputation in Europe as well as supporting its engagement with European Union institutions.

Etihad Airways has expanded significantly in Europe in recent years, operating 214 existing or announced passenger flights a week between Abu Dhabi and 21 destinations in 16 European countries.
The airline continues to expand its codeshare partnerships with European airlines as well as investing in airberlin, Aer Lingus, Air Serbia, with regulatory approval pending for Darwin Airline, which will operate as Etihad Regional, and Alitalia.
