Building Hope, a division of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), concluded recently its participation at the second annual regional forum on the theme, Sustainability in action: Business and the United Nations global goals, organized by the Pearl Initiative in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
The forum was held with the support of Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan, UAE minister of culture and knowledge development, and honorary chairman of the Pearl Initiative in Dubai on Oct. 27, with the participation of more than 700 regional and international business leaders as well as UN representatives.
CPC Director of Business Development & Chief of Building Hope Division Faysal Alaquil participated in a panel discussion titled the integrity and transparency framework — Building an effective and accountable business practice.
During the discussion, he stressed the importance of raising community awareness of anti-corruption and strengthening the principles of integrity and transparency as part of the work environment.
He also recommended the need to work on the integration of effort between the various public and private institutions within the overall move to fight corruption in all its forms.
Alaquil highlighted some of the key areas of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to create a more diverse and sustainable economy and improve the business environment so that the economy grows and flourishes, driving healthier employment opportunities for citizens and long-term prosperity for all.
Some distinguished speakers shared key insights at the forum, including a special video addressed in the opening session by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
