President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and visiting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán attended Wednesday the signing of five memos of understanding and letters of intent between the two countries.

Minister of International cooperation Sahar Nasr, who chairs the joint economic cooperation committee with Hungary, signed a memo of understanding with the Hungarian side while Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó signed for his country.

Nasr, along with Minister of Finance Amr el Garhy and Minister Transport Galal El saed signed the letters of intent with the Hungarian side, which includes a cooperation framework to import 700 train carriages worth 1 billion euros.

The newly signed deals cover cooperation in the fields of economy, sanitary drainage, greenhouses and water treatment stations.

Minister of Defense and Military production Sedki Sobhi signed a memo of understanding in the military domain with his Hungarian counterpart.

Head of the Radio and TV Union Safaa Hegazy signed an agreement with the Hungarian side on media cooperation with Hungary while head of the civil aviation authority Mahmoud Taha El Zanati signed an agreement on airlines between the two countries to boost horizons of aviation between the countries.
