HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi
London - QNA

HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi announced that British companies are currently submitting proposals to tender for projects in Qatar estimated at GBP 30 billion, pointing out that Qatar will give the opportunity to British companies to get a number of these investments.
Al Rumaihi made the remarks at the conclusion of the first day of the Qatar-U.K. Business and Investment Forum, which opened in London today.
HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment expressed his pleasure at organizing this forum in cooperation with Businessmen Association, Businesswomen Association, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of the ministries, hoping that today's meeting has provided the British side with an opportunity to learn about business opportunities and projects in the State of Qatar.
He added that the forum focused today on Qatar, while its tomorrow sessions will allow the British side to present investment opportunities in Britain as it is scheduled that the forum's sessions will continue tomorrow in Birmingham.
It is an honor for Britain to host this event which reflects the historical relations that have been binding Qatar and UK for more than two centuries, said Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clarke, praising the concrete steps taken by Qatar that have drawn the attention of British politicians to the enormous potentials available in Qatar.
Clark expressed his admiration at what presented by Qatar in relation to the development in the fields of infrastructure and energy, pointing to the expanding British investments in Qatar, especially in the construction of infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup.
The British official also praised the efforts of the Qatari government in promoting the business sector, and the small and medium enterprises in particular.
