The Malaysia Islamic Organizations Consultative Council (MAPIM) plans to promote Palestinian products across the Southeast Asian region in an effort to help improve the economy of the people in the troubled country. 
MAPIM president Azmi Abdul Hamid said among the products were decorative items, tableware and paintings, state-run (Bernama) news agency reported Monday. 
"MAPIM is ready to work with other non-governmental organizations for this purpose  he told reporters after the signing of a cooperation agreement with Widuri Souvenir in Kuala Lumpur Sunday.
