Kuala Lumpur - QNA

Malaysia and China have expanded port alliance with the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Kuantan Port Authority and the Port of Huizhou here.
Malaysia's Minister of Transport Liow Tiong Lai said the MoU was expected to further strengthen trade activities between the two countries, according to (Bernama) news agency.
"The MoU is important to support China's 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative to expand trade in the region," he said.
Liow said the MoU was also part of the government's effort to increase the value of trade with China which was targeted to reach US$160 billion by 2017.
Malaysia is the biggest trade partner with China among Asean members for six years continuously.
